My summer vacation so far has been wonderful. During it, I have maintained a healthy balance of outdoor and indoor activities, which will doubtless serve to make my life post-vacation at least nominally better than it was pre-vacation.
One of the outdoor activities I have partaken in is bicycling. I like bicycling. My sister and I have ridden our bikes all across the neighboring countryside and seen many interesting and moving sights, and a lot of horses. We got lost a few times until we started carrying a map. (The map is actually a phone book. The crazy thing about phone books these days is that the only people listed are ones who have old-timey names. This may be because only old people are in the phone book any more. Must investigate.) The phone book is great, up until you cross that invisible line that marks the edge of your area code and literally fall off the map. Then, you are in all kinds of shit, and how you will ever get home is anybody's guess. I am considering asking Santa to bring me a phone for Christmas that also has the internets on it. Then, I will always know where I am on the map, and can tweet any unexpected events.
My indoor activities this summer started out being a mix of The Sims 3, knitting and and
ontd_ai. But sadly unpredictably before I knew it,
ontd_ai had eaten up all of my non-bicycling time and replaced it with teh squee.
The End.
