The Sims 3 came out today. I've played for about three hours and was just getting the hang of it when, you guessed it, my virus software updated and the game promptly crashed. Time will tell if I ever learn to save.
Minor setbacks aside, I'm enjoying it no end. Gameplay is very different from Sims 2, and I know this is premature, but I'm actually liking the new game a little better already. Everyone's complaining about the way the new sims look... I dunno, I *like* them. I actually developed a tiny crush on my first sim as I was creating him. (Can anyone explain to me why he came out looking uncannily like Adam Lambert?)
It's been raining pretty steadily all day, and the temperature was down to +4 at one point. Yay summer. (Faulty thermometer?) I wore sandals, though. It's summer. Summer = sandals. *headdesk* My sister had a pretty crappy day of it - she had something majorly wrong with a tooth somewhere and it ended up being extracted. The denti-bitch wanted to pull another tooth, too, but my sister managed to flee her vicelike grip, and vows to go private from now on. Private dental care: where teeth are fixed instead of pulled. I made good progress on my sock. Knitting is what keeps me from stabbing evil dentists.
Apart from my sister's suffering, I've actually had a pretty kick-ass day, starting with a very nice chat on FB and discovering that interest rates have indeed gone down, to the point where my disposable income has suddenly increased by 150 € a month -
- now, Project Runway and then some more sims.
